Vintage Sylvanian Families Chestnut Raccoon Family — Original Token Club Family, Rare Gripping Hands | Calico Critters

This Sylvanian Families Chestnut Raccoon family is in excellent vintage condition considering their age! Their flocking is thick, and their black coloration has almost no fading .They all still have their tails in excellent bushy condition. All are in their original clothing.

They have the old style gripping hands that can hold little accessories! So FUN!

The Chestnut Raccoon family are one of the Original families from when Sylvanian Families were first launched. In the UK the only way to collect the family was through the token collector club. All figures, furniture and buildings had tokens on with various points on. When you had collected enough tokens you could send off for the family or the babies. Eventually more families were released as exclusives to the token collector club, but the Chestnut family were the longest running, lasting until the end of the scheme. When released in Japan the family had a light grey marking on their face, instead of the black markings which the UK version had.
