A proper British day at the beach in miniature! This is the Flair-era Sylvanian Families Day at the Seaside Set (Flair 4870), with its original box, imported from England. The Farthing Dog dad, Harley, reads the Woodland Telegraph in his striped deck chair while his son Vespa builds sandcastles in his yellow duck rubber ring.

Condition: Harley and Vespa are in very good shape for their vintage age. Flocking has merely minor imperfections, with bright eyes and their fluffy tails intact, and both wear their original striped swim shorts. Both have the earlier open gripping hands that can hold the bucket, spade and newspaper, which marks this as the original Flair release rather than the later re-issue with fixed hands. The accessories show no real wear; the only flaw is that the bucket handle is stuck in the down position. The set is complete except for the two paper postcards it originally came with, which are missing. The box has been opened and has light scuffing and creasing at the corners, as shown in the box photos, but it displays well with the green insert intact.
