This Forest Families Vintage Bärenwald Elephant family is in very good condition for its vintage age! All four are here: mother, father, sister and brother. Their light grey flocking is clean and even with no bald patches, and the pink ears, trunk tips and mouths are still bright. The mother wears a red floral dress with a lace collar, the father a red gingham shirt with navy trousers, the sister a pink floral skirt and the brother blue striped dungarees with orange buttons.
Forest Families were made by M.C. Toy from 1986 into the early 1990s and were sold in Germany by Simba as Bärenwald, in the USA as Peach Fuzz Village, and across Europe under the Forest Families name. They are a contemporary of Sylvanian Families and Calico Critters rather than a copy, and they are made to the same scale, so this family mixes right in with a Sylvanian Families or Calico Critters village. The German Bärenwald release named the two children Erwin and Elfi.
