A classic garden café set in woodgrain brown with teal seats. There is a round table with a scrolled edge, four matching chairs with carved backs, and a teal and cream parasol that slots through the centre of the table.

Where it comes from: this is the outdoor café furniture from the Sylvanian Families Applewood Department Store, the big two-storey shop sold in the UK during the Flair era. On the original box, families sit at these exact brown tables and chairs under the teal and cream parasol, outside the store's Pippin's Café. The Applewood Department Store has long been discontinued.

The design itself goes back much further. The table base is marked ©1988 Epoch Co. Ltd, Made in China, because Epoch first made this table and chairs in 1988. In the late 1980s Tomy sold the same pieces in the UK in cream, as part of their Patio Furniture and Barbecue set. The brown and teal colouring is the Applewood version.

This set is in very good condition for its age. Perfect for a garden party or café scene.
